ViProM has been funded by partners of the European Research Project “NEXT: Next Generation Production Systems” involved on Modeling of Machinery equipment. Today it is used as dissemination and sharing platform by partners of the European Research Project “ESTOMAD: Energy Software Tools for Sustainable Machine Design” involved on Energy Modeling of Machinery.
The driving idea is that there is a lot of knowledge about Virtual Prototyping spread around in the world, but it’s very difficult, especially for medium-small enterprises, to reach it, leaving Virtual Prototyping a matter for research Institutions and large companies.
We would like to support info exchange between all possible actors of the scene: researchers, machine designers, CAE SW producers and component suppliers. A new market of Numerical Models of Commercial Components (called “Virtual Components”) would permit Machinery Virtual Prototpying with an unprecedented efficiency and quality.
